No. 1 Jamaican Drink Recipe - Jamaican Mai Tai

Many people might try to disagree with the fact that this is Jamaica’s No. 1 Drink Recipe. However according to Forbes Magazine it’s the most expensive cocktail in the world. The drink recipe is characterized by the use of aged Jamaican rum that adds a wonderful flavor and creates a new taste in every sip or drink. In the Opulent hotel bar in northern Ireland 1 Mai Tai was sold for USD$1,400.00 because of the J. Wray Nephew 17-year-old rum from Kingston, Jamaica. Though we might not use the original 17 year old rum our recipe still has that unique and desired taste which makes it NUMBER 1 on the All time Jamaican drink recipes.

INGREDIENTS
¼ cup Appleton V/X rum
½ oz Almond cream
½ oz triple sec
¼ oz sweet and sour mix
½ cup pineapple juice
½ oz Tia Maria Jamaican ® dark rum

PREPARATION
Pour Appleton rum, Almond cream and triple sec into a Collins glass. Try to fill with equal parts of sweet and sour mix and the pineapple juice. Add Tia Maria and then add a large drinking and small stirring straw and serve. Allow the drinker to stir his/her own Mai Tai.

As always drink responsibly
